Ron Gooding, VP Appraisal Manager, recently received a certificate for achieving his MAI Designation.
The MAI Designation is held by appraisers who are experienced in the valuation and evaluation of commercial, industrial, residential and other types of properties, and who advise clients on real estate investment decisions.
Some of the requirements to achieve a MAI Designation are:
- Hold a certified general appraisal license
- Have a college degree
- Meet the Ethics and Standards requirements specified by the Appraisal Institute
- 400 hours of classroom instruction. Completion of 200 hours of advanced classroom instruction with a passing grade on all exams
- Pass thirteen examinations including the General Comprehensive Examination, a two-day, four-part modular exam. Completion of a two-day, four-part comprehensive examination
- Completion of a General Demonstration of Knowledge appraisal report
- Receive credit for 4,500 hours of specialized experience
This was a rigorous accomplishment that Ron has completed, and will help make HomeTrust a better place to work and bank.
