Project Potential Students Start 9th Grade with $13,000 Donation from HTB

Lexington, NC – HomeTrust Bank is pleased to be supporting the 2021 class of Project Potential.

Entering 9th grade this month, a group of talented students are now back to school, and on the path to higher education thanks to a $13,000 donation from HomeTrust Bank. With much excitement, students and bankers celebrated this donation at the Lexington, NC HomeTrust branch on June 7.

Project Potential believes that education changes lives, and that a college education is crucial to breaking the cycle of economic disadvantage. This organization provides comprehensive support throughout high school, and is able to identify and successfully address many of the obstacles students face in the college application and enrollment process.

Since Project Potential began in 1994, 99% of Project Potential Students have been accepted to a college or university. In addition, over 500 students have received scholarships to attend more than 70 different colleges and universities.

HomeTrust is proud to support this organization and these students in Lexington, NC because when the community is strong, everyone thrives.
