HomeTrust Bank Promotes Jim Darby to Assistant Vice President

“This promotion is in recognition of Jim’s long-term service to HomeTrust Bank and the leadership that he provides on a day-to-day basis,” stated Charles Abbitt, Senior Vice President & Chief Credit Officer of HomeTrust Bank. “We are pleased that Jim always places the highest priority on meeting the financial needs of our customers, while following sound mortgage underwriting principles and practices which protect our bank and our customers,” added Abbitt.

Darby is a member of both the local and national chapters of the Mortgage Bankers of Western North Carolina. He is also a past member of the Mortgage Bankers Association, and has served as a member and officer of Toastmaster’s Ridgefield (1st Vice President) and Credit Professionals International (both local and national leadership positions). Darby received his undergraduate degree from Mars-Hill College in 1986, with concentrations in finance and management. He has also obtained additional financial training through The Institute of Financial Education, and is currently enrolled in the Mortgage Bankers School of Mortgage Banking. Darby, his wife Anita, and their two daughters reside in Candler.
