Asheville, NC – On Friday June 3 HomeTrust Bank employees participated in the annual Asheville Chamber Challenge 5k. This team-based race was designed to promote community wellness through friendly competition between businesses in Asheville. The certified course began and ended at the Asheville Chamber and wound through the historic Montford neighborhood.

Six teams of four HomeTrust employees participated and even had the chance to come up with their own creative names, including: Herd of Turtles, HomeTrust Nerd Herd, Killer Flamingos OG, Killer Flamingos Expansion Pack, The Fitbits, and HTB (hey, not everyone can be creative!).

Two HomeTrust team members even got to walk away with awards. Congratulations to Ricky, who placed 2nd in Male Open category, and to Megan who placed first in her age group category.
